UNASNM National Academic Seminar

St. Ambrose Institute of Health Sciences was this year honored to host the UNASNM National academic seminar from 15th to 17th of May on a theme “For model health professionals.”

The seminar was graced with over 50 nursing institutions from across the country and this saw student nurses and midwives share knowledge on different topics through discussions both theoretically and hands on.

The three day seminar was of great significance to St. Ambrose as an institution showing how it had become a leading training institute for skilled and self motivated health practitioners.

The chief guest Ms. Birungi Harriet Nsamba-Senior principal officer technical institute, vocational and entrepreneurship program in the MoES who represented the commissioner health education and training Ms. Safina  Musene asked  students to abide by their profession and desist from unethical behavior.

Moses Baguma the UNASNM president asked the government to create more scholarships for students who intend to join nursing institutions as these professions require high fees.

The institute principal Mr. Emilio Masereka appreciated the association for considering the institute’s request to host this seminar. The few students that were talked to were full of thanks and showed how they had benefited.
