Currently, developments are being made on the structure to house the laboratory for the health centre. However, this development comes hand in hand with acquiring more equipment for the laboratory to make the required tests possible and this is the most urgent need at the moment.
In order to have the target of 24-hour service delivery, the health centre plans to have full accommodation for all the staff members. This will enable us to serve our clients at all times. Currently, the health centre has three blocks of staff houses accommodating 18 staff members yet many still come from distant places to do their work. Currently, the two wards housing over 70 patients cannot fully accommodate the many people we serve in the area. Therefore we are in need of more space to serve our patients, especially for the maternity section.
In order to improve our services, we need to expand our radiology department by receiving equipment to do additional investigations. For example, the barium studies, hysterosalpingography (HSG), intravenus urography, and many others.
