Who We Are<\/h2>

St Ambrose Charity Health Centre IV is a non-governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Health in Uganda. It started to operate officially on 2nd June 2003. The Health Centre consists of several units that have helped it to offer the best services to patients in the area.\nThe Health Centre operates hand-in-hand with many other organizations and hospitals both government and non-governmental in Uganda and outside Uganda in the effort to save lives.\nServices are offered to our patients by a team of well-trained, skilled and experienced staff that includes: nurses, clinicians, doctors and support staff. This has enabled the institution to meet the patients\u2019 expectations for years.

Presently, the health center has two wards for the in-patients with the capacity of 70 beds, a block that accommodates the out-patients, drugs, the equipment stores and offices, a laboratory building, and one operational theatre. The center has a mortuary, outside bathrooms and toilets, a kitchen and three blocks of staff quarters. St. Alex Ward<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

St. Alex Ward is one of the major wards at the health centre which houses both the male adult and children clients. The ward has a team of five full time nurses.<\/p>\n

The ward receives approximately 90 to 120 patients weekly. The most common cases registered at the ward include severe malaria, anemia, and pneumonia, especially in children. Other cases received include meningitis on rare occasions, diabetes and hypertension.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

St. Margaret Ward offers medical, surgical, obstetrics and gynecology, antenatal services, family planning services, and outreaches.\u00a0 Among the mothers who deliver at the facility, 40-60 mothers are delivered by caesarean section due to complications.
