This is the heart of service delivery at the health facility, it receives all kinds of patients and screens patients i.e. those to be referred as out-patients and those to be admitted.
The out-patients have a turnaround time of approximately 1 hour, it comprises of 3 clinicians and two medical doctors who see patients.
The outpatient department has a consultation room, a waiting room, a pharmacy and an emergency room.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The department works from\u00a08am to 8pm, 7days a week.<\/em>
The department receives approximately 350 patients monthly and the major cases handled throughout the month include; Malaria, Anemia, Respiratory tract infections, Diabetes meritus, Accidents, Urinary tract infections, Hypertension, Pneumonia and others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Taking the patients particulars i.e. name, age, village etc.<\/li>
  • Taking anthropometric measurements on patients i.e. weight, height etc.<\/li>
  • Directing patients to where they are supposed to go i.e. too doctors, clinical officers, cashier, ultrasound scan etc.<\/li>
  • Receiving emergency patients as fast as possible i.e. accident victims.<\/li>
  • Registering patients who come for routine counseling test<\/li>
  • Counseling patients about their conditions<\/li>
  • Ensuring that all patients at the OPD are attended to.<\/li>
  • Allaying anxiety of all patients and relatives with terrifying conditions<\/li>
  • Pushing patients to x-ray who are recommended<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
