The department is comprised of a medical doctor who oversees all the operation activities, a midwife who gives a hand during C-section deliveries, a theatre nurse and an anesthetist.
The theatre is open 24 hours Monday to Sunday.
In a month, at least 30 operations are successfully done, and rarely does the department encounter complications during operations.
The facility has Anesthetic machines, Cpap, Incubators, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (EMO) machine while operating. Besides there is a cardiac patients’ monitor service, Oxygen concentrators, nebulizers and suction machines that ease in all theatre major operations such as;
In order to promote a clean health environment within the theater premises, the facility has autoclaves and an incinerator.
More ECG and EMO machines are needed.
